Upon the invitation from the National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), the Interim Coordinating Committee of the Coalition of the Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations for Election (CECOE), (by mobilizing and coordinating civil society organizations,) observed the Sidama Referendum which was conducted on November 20, 2019. At least three reasons are attributable to the uniqueness of the Coalition involvement in the Sidama referendum observation.
